Welcome to the 2017 season here at The Atlantic Canada Aviation Museum. This year is sure to be an exciting year for the Museum as we will be celebrating Canada’s 150th anniversary!
Throughout the season we will be taking a closer look at the unforgettable events of 9/11, what happened during the time and the role that the wonderful people of Halifax played helping those in need during this very tragic event. We will also be delving into the amazing delights of space travel, what makes it all possible and how far we have come since that first flight in the Silver Dart.
We are very proud to be able to display one of the tires from the Space Shuttle Columbia, personally singed by our very own Canadian Astronaut, Chris Hadfield, himself and kindly donated to us by Michelin.
And let’s not forget we will also again be hosting our very popular annual Family Fun day and BBQ from 10am June 10; our second annual Wings n’ Wheels day, August 12, that brings together both the loves of aviation and automotive and our Volunteer Appreciation day, July 15 – when we can truly get to say thank you to our team of wonderful volunteers that keep this museum alive in every way.
So come and visit The Museum, share in our aviation history and help us to celebrate all of the these very special events.
