Our Volunteer Appreciate Day is a wonderful way for us to say a very big thank you to all of our wonderful team of volunteers and this year on July 15, 2017, we were able to do just that.
This year we were delighted to award Colin Wilmshurst ‘The Doug Ordinal Volunteer of the Year Award,’ for his great contributions to the Museum and in particular the restoration of the L-19 Bird Dog.
This award is in honour of a very special man ‘Doug Ordinal’ who himself was a tireless volunteer of the Museum and was the lead on our very own Lincoln Sport biplane and Harvard restoration projects – amongst others. This award recognizes a member who continues to develop our Museums displays and aircraft restorations.
Well done and thank you to Colin and all our volunteers who make this Museum everything it is today.
